The Chris Reeve has always been my favorite tactical fixed blade in the market. The black canvas micarta scales are grippy and super ergonomic in the hand. The guard has been modified compared to the Green Beret versions, so that there is a thumb ramp for grip and the finger guard is slanted so that when you choke up on the blade to use the choil for heavy cuts, it is still very comfortable in the hand. The clip point blade has a KG Gun Kote finish to help prevent light from reflecting off the S35VN stainless steel blade and also helps protect the blade from corrosives. There is a glass breaker on the rear of the handle, as well as a lanyard hole along with lanyard cord that matches nicely with the micarta.

Other than the choice of a plain edge, on the 2nd generation of the Pacific, they flattened the tang so it meets up with the handle scales more ergonomically and this one comes with slimmer black nylon sheath that is molle compatible and also has a belt loop.

A top choice!

From Chris Reeve's Website:

Continuing the proud tradition of Chris Reeve Knives honoring elite military, the Reeve/Harsey collaboration - the Pacific - is the civilian version of a knife created to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of 1st Special Forces Group. Based in Ft. Lewis, WA, 1st Group's theatre of operations is Asia and the Pacific, so the name Pacific has been chosen to honor the home and work place of these fine soldiers. Glass breaker at the back of the handle is convenient and effective in an emergency. Grooves in the micarta, mirrored on the tang, give extra grip, especially for gloved hands.
