Dan Stranahan I have known Dan since the late 1970's! At the time a bunch of us used to set up at the old Great Western gun Show, Steve Hoel, Jack Busfield, Bob Lum, Larry Hendricks, Jim Gioventti, Bob Egnath, Lloyd Pendleton, Jim Sornberger and others! I felt at the time Dan was the best of the folding hunter makers and had nice clean lines and just super workmanship! Then all of a sudden he disappeared! I ran into him earlier this year and he said his kid was young and wanted to spend the time with him. I can understand that and now that he is semi retired he is back making knives. He plans to work on slip joints and has had some help from Bob Lum to catch up with the new technology. Dan will get better with each knife and am looking forward to him progressing!
