Employment

Chris Stanko

Chris currently works part time in Plaza Cutlery. He is an avid outdoorsman and has done a lot of things many of us have only dreamed of.

Chris was the base camp manager for a climb on "Mount Everest" in the spring of 2007 and in 2008 will be climbing Mount McKinley..

Chris's goal, however, is to become a full time knifemaker. He worked in a seminar with Ron Newton and Ron told me

Chris has an interesting design so he is not copying everyone else. It will be fun to watch him developed and refine his craft.

At this time he is working at making field grade knives for using and not art knives. He needs to work so we will be selling

his work in the shop and the knives are very reasonable. If you have ever wanted to try a knife that is hand forged in high carbon steel,

now is a great opportunity as we all know as these craftsman develop, so does their pricing!

Chris does business under the company name "West Coast Blade Craft". I am working on him just to use his name. After all it is unusual! :)
