James Scroggs James is a newer knife maker specializing in CPM3v steel which is very tough strong steel. All his blades are heat treated by Paul Bos and the Rockwell hardness 60. Also each knife is "tungsten carbide coated" by Ion Bond to protect the blade and give it that cool black look! With the CPM3v the blade will take a lot of abuse but always use commonsense! It is on the level of m2 for edge holding but 3 times more tough without the rusting. Also each knife comes with a black kydex sheath! Also the Bastonge Walnut and stabilized Mandrone Burl came from Pachmayr and were extra wood off of premium wood stocks. The wood has been with James for the last 20-35 years.
