Ronnie passed away earlier this year (2007). He was a good friend of many of
us in the custom knife business and a very hard worker which I am sure did
not help him much towards the end. But there are a lot of knives out there
and they are classics! I do not normally buy second hand knives but did get
this opportunity so did not pass it up.
This is Ron's classic fighter and he did
know how to treat ivory and so this one has held up perfectly. It has red
spacers, dove tailed bolsters and 5 pins to hold it in place. It does have a
few scratches on the bolsters which can be fixed easily by most knifemakers
. The blade is fine although I can fell one rough area but I can not see it.
Any way a great example of his work which has been hard to find!
