Barry Dawson Barry Dawson is a long time knife maker. He makes using knives and on occasion some collector knives but he is primarily a maker of every day working knives. Most knives are 440c as it is still one of the best using steels for ease of sharpening, holding an edge especially if you use a steel with it and rust resistance. Many of his knives have micarta handles to give you something to grip and ease of use but he also does a lot of cord wrapped handles as well as thread wrapped handles that are Japanese style. Barry enjoys the unusual on occasion so we never know what we may see form him. Barry's brother Dane used to work with him but because of health reasons he could no longer make knives so it is now just Barry.
