Bark river knives is a small company based in Michigan that makes fixed blade knives out of A-2 tool steel. Very limited run and a very wide range of handles.

Care of your Bark River Knives

A-2 is one of the best steels ever made and will sharpen to a keen edge and hold it very well. As it is a tool steel it will rust and tarnish so it must be cared for and not stored in the sheath except when in use. Usually a coat of rust inhibiting oil coated on the blade is a good idea or a Sentry "Tough Cloth" if you wish to keep it dry. They will last a life time and be a joy to use in the field!
